Kmiec Claims He's In the Loop for Vatican Post

(Hat tip: Thomas Peters at American Papist)

Prof. Kmiec claims he's under consideration for that job he's denied coveting:

Kmiec ... confirmed that Obama may be considering appointing him to the position of Vatican Emissary."The President is nowhere close to determining such things because of the order of events … everyone's first order of business is economic recovery," [ED.: Except, of course, for that bit about updating the White House website to make it more culture-of-death friendly, not to mention that whole overturning the Mexico City Policy thingy] Kmiec said. "At the appropriate time, when diplomatic relations through the State Department need to be addressed, I think my name would be part of the discussion."
(emphasis added)

My Comments:
Jeff Miller (aka The Curt Jester) nailed it in the comments at American Papist:

Of course he would think that. Everything is always about him. The question is is Pres Obama stupid enough to appoint him?
Or brazen enough.

If Kmiec does obtain his bag of silver, something I think unlikely since I doubt if Obama is quite that foolish, no doubt we "hateful" bloggers will do our bit in making sure he has a memorable tenure. I have a feeling that the Vatican will do the same.

Of course it would be an outrage, but remember 54% of "Catholics" voted for Barry Hussein Obama...

Mexico City policy reversal yesterday, FOCA coming up and Kmiec at the Vatican are all logical steps from their perspective...

I look forward to seeing the Holy Father formally receive the credentials of Ambassador Kmiec, and to seeing the Holy Father take the opportunity to publicly and personally correct the Ambassador on his many errors, as Kmiec has invited him to do.

Not sure that Kmiec is Vatican material, but there is some precedent for naming him Secretary of State for Wales...
