Obama's HHS Pick "an Insult to Catholics"

At Catholics in the Public Square, Chris Blosser reports on Pres. Obama's decision to pick Gov. Kathleen Sebelius to head the Dept. of Health and Human Services:

... Catholics Online's Deacon Keith Fournier puts it aptly: President Obama's selection of Kathleen Sebelius is an insult to Catholics across America -- particularly after Obama's repeal of the Mexico City Policy in January and the recent news that he is set to undo the Bush administration's "conscience rule" for health workers granting protection to those who refuse to take part in abortions or provide other health care that goes against their consciences...

In all fairness, Sebellius is exactly the kind of liberal everyone knew he would appoint.

Yet more than enough Catholics voted for Obama in spite of this knowledge.

I'm guessing it was more than enough of them to put him over the top.

So why should they be outraged now?

So why should they be outraged now?

Because they gave him a "mandate" to fix the economy, not fill his cabinet with fiends.

Rich

So what you are saying is that Catholics put the economy in front of life and now their surprised that Obama did as well?

I see this as people putting their own self interest in front of life. they should be surprised or outrage with the results.
