An Honored Guest in The Old Dominion
Tom McKenna at Seeking Justice notes that a "Hanoverian Usurper Comes to Virginia" today in honor of the 400th anniversary of the founding of the Jamestown Settlement, the first permanent English colony in the New World.
As I said in comments over at Tom's blog, I actually admire the current de facto occupant of the Throne, and that she and her gung-ho grandson, Harry, appear to be the best of the entire Hanoverian bunch.
So, today I'll volunteer a hearty "God Save the Queen" in honor of her visit to The Old Dominion.

Apparently the Queen is meeting with a group from Virginia Tech. Take that, UVa!
Eh, maybe she hasn't gotten over that little letter that the Founder of UVa wrote to her ancestor back in 1776.
