Aborting the Stupak-Less Senate Health Care Bill
Ed Morrissey reports that abortion - specifically, the failure to include the equivalent of the House's Stupak Amendment - remains the chief impediment to passage of the Senate's health care bill:
Chris Matthews just couldn’t believe it. Eric Cantor insisted that a dozen members of the House that had previously voted in support of ObamaCare would flip to no votes on the rebound — more than likely enough to kill the Senate bill from getting passed. The Hardball host asked Stupak if that could really be true, and Stupak gave him the bad news:
My Comments:
That sensation Chrissy felt running down his leg upon hearing Rep. Stupak's assessment probably wouldn't be described as a "thrill". Thank you Rep. Stupak, and the other pro-life Dems in the House, for standing up for your consciences and the lives of the unborn.
