Proof that the Group Calling Itself "Catholic Democrats" is More "Democrat" Than "Catholic" [UPDATED]
Go over to Rich Leonardi's blog to read the email that removes all doubt that the group calling itself "Catholic Democrats" puts its Democrat identity first and foremost.
It's right there on Democrat Party letterhead, sent "On behalf of Catholic Democrats". But it's the disgusting content of the email - which attacks the Catholic bishops, accusing them of being "partisan" for expressing the Church's pro-life views - that gives the game away.

Re: "It is good to frame the debate..." Why is there a need to frame anything? Why not take it at face value. This is deceptiveness and manipulation. They want to make it look like a certain way by framing it.
Re: "sign this survey ... to disagree with the bishops... Numbers does not make something right. Have they even considered the teaching of the bishops? Why have they written it off as partisan politics? Where is the openness, the reasonableness, the docility and the faith?
In war, the first casualty is truth. We can see it now as truth gets framed as a partisan opinion. Sadly, they forget that the truth is the Incarnate God Himself who said, "I am the Way, the Truth and the Life."
They can sign all they want and win the polls with big numbers. Again, the Lord did say that the way to perdition is wide and easy and a lot go there - big numbers.
Going back to the point of the post, the so-called Catholic Democrats are not Catholic at all.
