Malthusian Nonsense from "Global Warming" Alarmists

Apparently, having large families "is an eco-crime":
HAVING large families should be frowned upon as an environmental misdemeanour in the same way as frequent long-haul flights, driving a 4x4 car and failing to reuse plastic bags, according to a report to be published tomorrow by a green think tank.My Comments:
The paper by the Optimum Population Trust (OPT) will say that if couples had two children instead of three they could cut their family’s carbon dioxide output by the equivalent of 620 return flights a year between London and New York.
John Guillebaud, co-chairman of OPT and emeritus professor of family planning at University College London, said: “The effect on the planet of having one child less is an order of magnitude greater than all these other things we might do, such as switching off lights. An extra child is the equivalent of a lot of flights across the planet.
“The greatest thing anyone in Britain could do to help the future of the planet would be to have one less child.”
In his latest comments the academic says that when couples are planning a family they should be encouraged to think about the environmental consequences. “The decision to have children should be seen as a very big one and one that should take the environment into account,” he added.
Guillebaud says that, as a general guideline, couples should produce no more than two offspring.

And Catholics are supposed to support this nonsense?
Query: How do you get people to support policies that they would never have dreamed of supporting back when you were calling yourself a communist and first proposed said policies?
Answer: Start calling yourself an "environmentalist" and dress said policies up as "ecologically sound" and necessary to "save" the planet from "global warming".
In the meantime, I think I'll just keep doing my part to "pollute" the planet with more little Anderson offspring. Honey, looks like we're going to need an even LARGER vehicle for hauling around all those little pollutants.

I can't wait to start "polluting" the planet with my little Zummo offspring.
And the leftists are mocking Jonah Goldberg for writing a book linking totalitarianism with the left. Here's another reason he is right on target.

That's the logic, because while children are something you should cut down on, flights across the planet certainly are not.

Yep. At least that's true with respect to the more hard-core elements of the environmental movement.
People who truly care about the environment and don't have some leftist political agenda to promote refer to themselves as conservationists.
I have three brothers and a sister. My oldest brother has three kids, the others have none. I have four. I'm the only one who might have more. If I have one more, we'll average two each.
Plus two more for the baby sister who died at age 2, so I can have three more.
Of course, none of my siblings are still Catholic, and none are so conservative as I am, so that next generation they're leaving it up to me to engender will be much more conservative than they are.
BTW, how many children does Prof. Guillebaud have? We see so many of these guys who are either gay, or, like Vice President Gore, don't set examples of what they advocate.
The simple truth is that children are not pollutants, much as the commie-environmentalist whackos would like to say otherwise.
Children are resources. They are great treasures.
Those who say otherwise need to seek counselling to discover the reasons behind their racial self-hatred.
