I haven't mentioned the Catholic Blog Awards before now because I believe I went way overboard last year with my Generalisimo Franco is Still Dead posts in order to ensure that I didn't finish dead last in the voting for Best Political Blog. This year, I decided I needed to act with a little more humility and completely ignored the Blog Awards (other than nominating and voting for some other very worthy blogs).

Despite my reticence about mentioning the Awards this year, I would be remiss if I didn't thank those of you who nominated and/or voted for Pro Ecclesia * Pro Familia * Pro Civitate in the various categories. Your support for this blog - not just in the Blog Awards, but by visiting on a day-to-day basis - is greatly appreciated.

Needless to say, I didn't come even close to winning anything. But, I didn't finish "dead last" either.
