This Just In ... (Day 6)

... Generalisimo Francisco Franco is still dead.

And Pro Ecclesia * Pro Familia * Pro Civitate is STILL NO LONGER DEAD LAST in the category of "Best Political Blog" as we come to the close of Day 6 of voting for the Catholic Blog Awards. Keep up the good work!

However, after having gotten as high as 9.5% of the vote total (almost reaching my goal of 10%) early Thursday evening, this blog has now settled in at around 8.9%. That's almost a "comfortable" lead over Der Tommissar's Donegal Express, which currently sits DEAD LAST in the category.

But I don't want to take any chances - having been in DEAD LAST for a couple of days, I don't want to go back to that dark place again. Please do what you can to help Pro Ecclesia reach the 10% mark.

Finally, I would like to acknowledge that I realize that I am not as creative as some other bloggers out there - no allusions to 80s movies about golf or endorsements from effeminate men named "Pete" from Toronto reclined under a tree. But you have to admit that the icon (looted from Rick's now defunct blog) of Generalisimo Franco - idealizing him as a Crusader in defense of the True Faith - is pretty damned cool. That oughta be worth some votes.
