I Had Rather Hoped This Sort of Thing Didn't Happen in Bishop Blair's Diocese

From The Toledo Blade:
Members of St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church perform a liturgical dance during a Mass in honor of Black History Month.

Bishop Leonard Blair of the Toledo diocese presided at Sunday’s service. Charlotte Boyd, a classically trained ballet dancer, founded a liturgical praise dance troupe called Praise at St. Martin de Porres three years ago for children. Later she founded one for adults called Women of Grace. They are the only liturgical dance troupes in the 19-county Toledo Catholic Diocese, she said. ‘For me, it is another form of praying,’ said Ms. Boyd, who is also the administrative coordinator at the Bancroft Street parish. Liturgical dance, which is performed to sacred music and is meant to use the body to glorify God, has been gaining popularity over the last few decades.

I take it the Vatican issued an indult for Black History Month.

Considering the fact that Toledo is so liberal I sometimes call it Leningrad-on-the-Maumee, you could think it's downright amazing that there's so little of that sort of thing.
