Toomey Ties Specter In Pennsylvania, Quinnipiac University Poll Finds

It's Quinnipiac, so the pro-life Toomey is probably actually leading the "pro-choice" ex-RINO Specter:
Pennsylvania Sen. Arlen Specter's 2010 reelection lead over Republican challenger Pat Toomey has shrunk to a tie with 45 percent for Specter and 44 percent for Toomey, according to a Quinnipiac University poll released today. And voters say 49 - 40 percent that Sen. Specter does not deserve reelection.

It is more than a year away, but that is encouraging. Toomey's best weapon in this campaign is Specter's vote for the faux "stimulus" massive waste bill. Between now and the election Toomey's team should be identifying the most outrageous examples of waste. Should make an easily understood commercial. Also, Specter's primary opponent is equally vulnerable because he voted for it in the House.

I think Toomey could beat Specter, perhaps handily (4+ points).

But he's probably going to be facing Sestak, not Specter, which is a much taller task.
