Tim Russert, Best and Most Objective Newsman in America (and Devout Catholic), Dead at 58 [UPDATED]

When Brent Bozell and Rush Limbaugh can sing the praises of an icon of the "Mainstream Media", you know he was fair, honest, and objective.

From Bozell:
Whenever I’ve been asked to give examples of a fair, balanced and honest journalist, Tim Russert’s name was the first name that came to mind. This was a view shared by everyone and the ultimate testimony to his professionalism. As a moderator he was in a league of his own, always knowing when to speak and when to let his guests do the talking. As an individual he was an absolute class act, and always a gentleman. The world of journalism is vastly diminished today.
From Limbaugh:
"He was the closest thing there was at any of the networks to an objective journalist. Whether it was at dinner here in Florida while his son was taking golf lessons, or on the set of Meet The Press, Tim was always the same with me: genuine. He never condescended to anyone and was the consummate professional. He will be hard to replace."
Resquiescat in pace.

I agree with Bozell's assesment. Tim Russert is one of the few liberals that actually report objectively without an agenda. May he rest in peace.
