Senator Barbara Boxer, Hero of the Nation-Reading, Catholic-Hating Left
Deal Hudson writes at InsideCatholic on the anti-Catholic screed contained in a recent column by Nation's Katha Pollitt:
... In Pollitt's eyes Sen. Brownback was the villan and Sen. Boxer the heroine in the controversy over the Senate resolution to honor Benedict XVI during his visit. Boxer objected to the resolution observing that the Pope witnessed "to the value of each and every life."(emphasis added)
Pollitt hoists the pro-abortion Catholic Boxer [ED.: Boxer is Jewish, not Catholic.] high upon her shoulders for ripping this horrible thought out of the language celebrating the Holy Father.
More important, however, than anything Pollitt says is how she says it.If it was up to Benedict, we might be more stylish than the plural wives of the FLDS, but we'd be trapped in marriage and have fifteen children just like them.[More]
