Brett Favre Announces Retirement

(Hat tip: Rick Garnett)

Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre, a Catholic and a sure Hall of Famer, has called it quits. The guy played the game as it should be played ... like a kid having a good time with his friends in the corner lot.

Brett after overcomming some troubles in his younger days continued a long and proud Catholic tradition for the Green-Bay Packers. Go to this link from the Diocese of Superior and look to the upper left corner...

The picture for Catholic laity is none other than Brett and his wife!

He is a good man and all the people of Wisconsin wish him the best!

He's going out on top after a great season. And he seems to really be a good, down-to-earth guy who has faced adversity and personal difficulties with uncommon candor and grace. God bless him.

Didn't know he was Catholic, but I really loved the guy. He just looked like he had so much fun! What a joy to watch!

We'll miss him, but I'm sure his family will be glad to have him back home more often.
