What Was He Thinking?

LeBron the Traitor

As someone emailed in to the Mike & Mike show this morning, "it's like cheating on your wife with your childhood sweetheart because you've always loved her."

Dude, I don't care if you've been a Yankees fan since you were a kid. Not only do you play for Cleveland's NBA franchise, you live in Cleveland and you're actually originally from the Cleveland area.

Act like it, and quit being a frontrunner.*

* For what it's worth, I know a guy who grew up a fan of the Yankees, the Dallas Cowboys, and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish (I don't know it for a fact, but he was probably a Lakers fan, as well). That's the textbook definition of a "frontrunner" (or at least it was at the time he was growing up).

Oh, I like him even more now!! And I was a LeBron-hater when he came on the scene. (Could there have BEEN any more hype?) But he lived up to all the talk. And he seems to keep his nose clean.

Go Yanks!

Maybe Steinbrenner can buy him, too.
