G.O.P. Candidates at Values Voters Conference
The New York Slimes' political blog covers the Values Voters Summit:
There is a popular contemporary Christian worship song that goes, “This is the day that the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.”(emphasis added)
Today is, indeed, a big day for several leading Republican presidential candidates as they make pilgrimages to the Hilton hotel here to address a gathering of several thousand Christian conservative activists.
In the church bulletin to speak at the Values Voter Summit and doing their best to preach their best sermons are Senator John McCain, Fred D. Thompson and Mitt Romney.

My Comments:
Ahhhhh ... I get it. When Republican candidates talk to values voters at a conference - not, mind you, in a church but at a conference - the Slimes calls what they do "preaching a sermon".
Meanwhile, media outlets don't so much as blink an eye at the spectacle of Democrat politicians routinely standing behind the pulpit of a church on a Sunday morning, using fire and brimstone rhetoric and quoting from the Minor Prophets to call down God's judgment upon conservatives in general and Republicans in particular, to a chorus of "Amens" and "Hallelujahs" from the congregation.
