Conservative Group Running Ad on Giuliani's Abortion Record

From Cybercast News Service:

(CNSNews.com) - On the eve of a straw poll in Ames, Iowa, a conservative political action committee is running an ad in Friday's Ames Tribune detailing Rudy Giuliani's "3 decades of active support for abortion." The political action director of Fidelis, a pro-life, Catholic-based advocacy organization, said Iowa voters deserve to know where the Republican candidate stands on abortion. "His support for abortion rights, including partial birth abortion and taxpayer funding of abortion is well documented. Activists in Iowa preparing to participate in the straw poll this Saturday should seriously consider these facts before voting," said Brian Burch. The ad copy says, "Rudy Giuliani wants the people in Iowa to know him as the tough-on-crime former Mayor of New York. What he doesn't want us to know, is that he has a long and consistent record of support for abortion." The ad includes direct quotations from Giuliani. According to Burch, "The vast majority of voters both in Iowa and across America are still unaware of how radical Rudy Giuliani's abortion views really are."
