Never Mind Church Teaching, Catholic Nancy Pelosi Says ESCR "a Gift of God"

(Hat tip: Publius)

Who needs a Pope when we have Nancy Pelosi to speak for "American Catholics"?
“Science is a gift of God to all of us and science has taken us to a place that is biblical in its power to cure,” said Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Democrat of California, arguing for the bill’s passage. “And that is the embryonic stem cell research.” (emphasis added)
Hey USCCB, how's that "pastoral" style of episcopal leadership working out for ya?

biblical in nature? wow.

Of course, I've just turned on CNN to see a Democratic Presidential Candidates Forum that's centered on Faith. This will be bad.
