Catholic Archbishop Mocked in His Own Diocese at a Catholic Charities-Sponsored Fundraiser on Church Property

Details here.
There need to be some major recriminations against the so-called "Catholics" responsible for this whole outrageous affair.
To have a giant among men like Archbishop Burke (and he truly is a giant compared to the 4-foot-tall Bob Costas) mocked by such small personages (again, the term applies literally to Baby Bob) - and on Church property, to boot - is disgusting.
And Billy Crystal has placed himself in the running for this week's Rosie Award with this bit of "humor":
Later, comedian Billy Crystal, making another appearance at the annual event, joined the act.Nice.
"I respect his right to choose," Crystal said of Burke. "His right to choose not to be here."
After a round of applause, Crystal added: "After all, charity begins at home — because that's where he is."

Of course, Burke's actions are directly opposite of the late Cardinal O'Connor who did events with abortion advocates like Jeanne Kilpatrick and Ed Koch.
I wasn't aware that Kirkpatrick and Koch were as vocal in their advocacy as this particular artist has been recently.
There is a history here, such as Crow's very recent advocacy on behalf of a stem-cell bill in Missouri. In light of that, one can hardly blame Burke for pointing out the incongruity of inviting her to participate in a Catholic Charities event.
Archbishop Burke's actions are to be commended. Those people who are mocking him only display their ignorance, their lack of morals, and base nature.
Let's see if they're still laughing when they face their Maker on Judgement Day.
Oh, BTW, did you know that Billy Crystal is Bill Clinton's golfing buddy? Two peas in a pod...
