Welcome Home: Catholic-to-Evangelical-to-Catholic
The following was posted in comments in the Digest of Posts above, but I wanted to give it a little more prominent attention:
I doubt you remember me, but we minced some words during your posts on the Harriet Miers nominations. You asked if she apostacized in leaving the Catholic Church for Protestantism. I said that was bigotted. You said it was not, ad nauseum. I had quite the chip on my shoulder.I do remember you Jacque, although I didn't remember our exchange being as tense as you describe.
Just wanted to tell you that I have reconciled to the Church (having been an evangelical for 7 years, my entire believing life). I now agree with you that converts that go the other way really are smarter. :)

Your news is quite wonderful, and I am very happy for you. I do believe, however, that your positive experiences as an evangelical have prepared you to be an even better Catholic.
Thank you for sharing your news. And welcome back home!
