Romney Says Government Was Wrong in Schiavo Case (Says Congress Wrong for Trying to Save Terri)
... and in the process tells pro-lifers he REALLY doesn't want their votes:
TAMPA -- He's campaigning hard for support from Republican social conservatives, but presidential candidate Mitt Romney said Saturday he disagreed with the government's intervention in the Terri Schiavo case.My Comments:
"I think it's probably best to leave these kinds of matters in the hands of the courts," Romney said in a television interview airing today.

Starving and dehydrating defenseless disabled people okay with Romney. Not that I was going to vote for his flip-flopping, lying arse anyway, but this proves that he's unserious about right-to-life issues and wholly unworthy of the votes of pro-lifers.
UPDATE:
By way of contrast, here's what Sam Brownback had to say about the efforts to save Terri's life.

Some people think "pro-life" means opposed to abortion.
They dont' realize that we view not only abortion, but also contraception, embryonic stem cell research, euthanasia, divorce and even gay marriage as life issues.
We cannot, and will not, just accept someone's word that a candidate is "pro-life", and happily go on down the road.
We'll be checking it out for ourselves.
And what we're looking for is action. Even John Kerry claimed to be opposed to abortion. What will a candidate do about these issues? That's what we'll be watching to see.
Romney is 100% correct. The Federal government has no business interfering in and passing a law for one person.
If you think that this is what our Constitution is all about, you ought to get out of political discussion and stick with religious matters.
