Identity Crisis in Catholic Schools Revisited
Yesterday, I posted a piece by Deacon Keith Fournier regarding "The Identity Crisis in Catholic Schools" about Catholic schools in America having lost, in many respects, their Catholic identity.
In response to that post, I received the following comment:
I would like for you to know that I went to the education office in the Oklahoma City archdiocese and found issues of the "National Catholic Reporter" and "Commonweal" lying all around the waiting room. I talked to the administrative assistant and explained that those are dissident magazines and she said, "Well, we are all entitled to our opinions". BTW, I homeschool. Can't say that I blame you. Thanks for sending along this information.
