... with Notre Dame quarterback Brady Quinn's performance in "big games".
He has a losing record against ranked opponents, and an even less impressive showing in bowl games, where he has been outshone by opposing quarterbacks - last year by Ohio State's Troy Smith and last night by LSU's JaMarcus Russell. Quinn stunk up the Super Dome last night, missing wide-open receivers several times with passes that were either too high, too late, or both.
And the Irish defense was utterly incapable of stopping LSU on big 3rd-down plays.
Can't say I was surprised by the outcome of the Sugar Bowl, as I had predicted that LSU would demolish Notre Dame. But I was somewhat disappointed not to have been proven wrong.
