Hospice Run by Nun Helped Dying Man Lose His Virginity
From The Telegraph (U.K.):
A young disabled man who receives care for his life-limiting illness at a hospice run by a nun spoke yesterday of his decision to use a prostitute to experience sex before he dies.
Sister Frances Dominica gave her support to 22-year-old Nick Wallis, who was born with Duchenne muscular dystrophy. Sufferers usually die by their thirties.
Mr Wallis told staff at the Douglas House hospice in Oxford that he wanted to experience sexual intercourse. He explained that he had hoped to form an intimate and loving relationship with a woman, but his disability had acted as a barrier.

He said he did not discuss his decision directly with Sister Frances, who founded the two hospices. "But I know she gave me her support."
Sister Frances described Mr Wallis as "delightful, intelligent and aware young man".
"I know that some people will say 'You are a Christian foundation. What are you thinking about?'. But we are here for all faiths and none," she said.
"It is not our job to make moral decisions for our guests. We came to the conclusion that it was our duty of care to support Nick emotionally and to help ensure his physical safety."

UPDATE (29 January)
Jeff Miller of The Curt Jester assures me that this is an Anglican nun. I suppose that provides some consolation that at least she isn't Catholic.

Wow, it's like Satan shot a three pointer at the buzzer and won.
It's like something the National Enquirer would come up with. What a world.
I seem to remember Alice von Hildebrand's biography of her husband relating something similar that happened during World War I in Germany. Unfortunately I don't have a copy on hand.
That's why they call it the "primrose path to the everlasting bonfire."
By the way: St. Thomas More: a jewel in the Heavenly Court, along with Blessed Margaret of Castello. And my patron saint.
Horrid. Horrid. Horrid.
When questioned, Sister Frances Dominica said that Nick, although a non-Catholic, asked to attend the traditional Catholic Latin Mass.
Regrettably, Sister didn’t know any priests who knew Latin and, since time was a factor, procuring a hooker was much easier and quicker. Besides, Sinister Dominica didn’t know if the bishop would have granted an indult anyway.
How horrible. Whether this man was Christian or not, this nun was still the administrator. She is responsible for what happens inside that hospice. She has allowed two people to commit a very serious sin inside a hospice she runs.
The comments made by this nun create scandal. Clergy and religious people are supposed to provide guidance on moral decisions. A nun looking the other way while a sex worker and patient committed a filthy act in her hospice can certainly confuse people.
She is an Anglican nun - though it is too easy to believe that this story could have been about a Catholic one.
It's not surprising, given the state of Anglicanism and her motley brood.
"We came to the conclusion that it was our duty of care to support Nick emotionally and to help ensure his physical safety."
But never mind his eternal soul's safety. It's the here and now that's most important.
*sigh*
I can see it now:
Brian Urlacher: You’ve waited for it, longed for it, dreamed about it. You've just won the Super Bowl, what are you going to do now?
“I’m going to Douglas House.”
