Words of Wisdom

Some words of wisdom, though not necessarily of comfort:
"God does not require us to succeed; he only requires that we try."

"I do not pray for success. I ask for faithfulness
."

~ Blessed Mother Theresa of Calcutta

----------------------------------------------

"But you and all the kind of Christ
Are ignorant and brave,
And you shall have wars you hardly win
And souls you hardly save.

"I tell you naught for your comfort
Yea, naught for your desire,
Save that the sky grows darker yet
And the sea rises higher.

"Night shall be thrice night over you,
And heaven an iron cope.
Do you have joy without a cause,
Yea, faith without a hope?"

~ G.K. Chesterton, The Ballad of the White Horse (the words of the Mother of God to King Alfred)
As I wrote yesterday, Tuesday's elections were disastrous for the pro-life/pro-family cause. Will we strengthen our resolve, get up, and continue to fight even though the cause looks hopeless?
