Ohio State Remains No. 1; Michigan Passes USC for No. 2 Spot in BCS Rankings
Not surprisingly, my Ohio State Buckeyes retained their # 1 spot in the BCS rankings. And it is looking increasingly likely that there will be another # 1 vs. # 2 match-up, this time between Big Ten rivals, when Michigan comes to town on November 18:
NEW YORK (AP) -- Michigan slipped in front of Southern California into second-place in the Bowl Championship Standings on Sunday, but there's no reason for the Trojans to worry. Now, here's one thing I'm a little confused about:
USC is still a solid No. 3 behind first-place Ohio State and Michigan. And with the Buckeyes and Wolverines slated to meet on Nov. 18 in Columbus, Ohio, the Trojans remained in good shape to secure a spot in the BCS championship game with an undefeated regular season.
California is in 10th place, followed by Tennessee ...Tell me again how California gets ranked ahead of Tennesee. They have identical 1-loss records, and Tennessee plays in arguably the toughest conference in the nation. And then, there's this.
That's just plain idiotic.
