BS* ... errrr ...BCS Poll Comes Out - Ohio State # 1

The first BCS Poll of the year has come out, and as expected, the Ohio State Buckeyes are ranked # 1.

Meanwhile, Auburn's coach cries about the need for a playoff.

Tell ya what, Tommy, if you had taken care of business against Arkansas last week, instead of getting blown out by a team that was completely demolished by USC earlier this year, you might have a leg to stand on. But don't come crying for a second bite at the apple now that you have that pathetic blemish on your record.


* I am on record as favoring a return to the old bowl system, where the outcomes of each of the major bowl games (which included the Cotton Bowl instead of the Fiesta Bowl) had a chance of impacting the National Championship. The present system devalues all other bowl games besides the "National Championship" game. And going to a playoff system would comepletely gut tradition from NCAA Division 1 college football. In my opinion, the old system wasn't broke, and didn't need fixin'.
