Our First Broken Bone
Yesterday, my 4-and-a-half-year-old, Jamie, fell from his cousin's jungle gym and slightly fractured his left arm. He's left-handed. Tough break (no pun intended).
Right now, his arm is wrapped in a splint. Later today, he gets a cast.
We always believed our daredevil 2-and-a-half-year-old, Aidan, would be the first to break a bone (if not several).

Sorry to hear about Jamie, but glad to know I am not the only parent who was doing a countdown to the first broken bone. For my oldest it was a few weeks ago, two days after his ninth birthday. Now I get to wonder how much longer before the youngest boy (also 2-and-a-half) breaks a bone.
We also have a daredevil 2 ½ year old named Aidan and he has given us several scares, including a recent almost broken nose and a window pane dropping on his arm a year ago. So far this kid is resilient, nothing a quick kiss can’t heal. But from someone who has broken both his arms at the same time, I can empathize with Jamie. Prayers for a swift and speedy recovery.
Oh, poor Jamie. Hope he heals in no time.
My girls are both climbers, and I fully expect to look out the window one day and see one of them tumbling out of the tree in the back yard. Lucky so far...
