Good Will Squandered

I am so sick of hearing the claim that the entire world was united with America in grief in the days following September 11, 2001, only for the U.S. to squander that "good will" through our prosecution of the War on Terror.

See here and here.

The claim of worldwide sympathy and good will is pure bunk, as Mark Steyn notes.

Americans are never so "well-loved" as when we are victims. The world "loves" a victimized United States. Or rather, they love to see us victimized.

Well, if the rest of the world thinks this American is going to wallow in self-pity and do nothing while Islamics are preparing another jihad against this Nation, they can kiss my royal Irish arse.

I don't give a damn what the rest-of-the-world appeaseniks (i.e. socialists disguised as pacifists) think about the United States' efforts to defend itself against Islamics bent on our destruction. They can shut the hell up and free-ride as the unintended beneficiaries of our War on Terror.
