Next Time, I'll Support John Bolton, Voinovich Says

From Cybercast News Service:
(CNSNews.com) - Sen. George Voinovich, the Ohio Republican who last year opposed President Bush's nomination of John Bolton to serve as U.S. ambassador to the U.N., now says he'll vote for Bolton when Bolton's recess appointment expires. Full Story
My Comments:
Will wonders never cease? First, Voinovich votes against federal funding for embryonic stem cell research, and now, he says he will support the re-nomination of John Bolton.

I might just have to stop referring to him as George Whineandbitch.

Wow. Didn't he get tearful on the floor of the senate over the possibility that Bolton might be confirmed?

Of course, there won't be a next time.

Local Man,

Bolton's recess appointment is up at the end of the current congressional session. He will have to be renominated next January.

Chances are, based on his performance at the U.N., that he will indeed be confirmed.

So if Bolton does come up again I guess he won't need to ensure he has a box of Kleenex this time.

Shouldn't Bush represent his name right away if the principle blockage is gone? After all, a recess appointment lasts until the end of the congress it was appointed during or until a permanent appointment is confirmed, whichever comes first.
