Concentration of Catholics

Brazil has more than 151 million baptized Roman Catholics, the most of any country on earth. That’s 85 percent of the nation’s entire population. Jesuit missionaries of the 16th century are credited with establishing the roots for Roman Catholicism in Brazil.

I seem to recall that at least one prominent Brazilian Catholic has been profiled here at Pro Ecclesia.
