All of Humanity Proclaimed "The Great"
Catholic Caveman has the details.
"Jay The Great"
Cool. But Mrs. Anderson has already proclaimed me "Jay The Magnificent", "Jay The Stellar", and, simply, "The Man"!
Which, I suppose, is another way of saying I'm "Great".

Well, I insist on either being called Publius Magnus or Publius ille Magnus.
Its good that we've all dodged the bullet of negative sufixes ala "Vlad the Impaler" "Ivan the Terrible" "Charles the Bald" "William the Bastard" etc.
Wasn't there also some historical personage known as "the Fat"?
And given the fact that Vlad was impaling jihadists hellbent on the conquest of Europe, maybe he doesn't have such a bad appellation.
Jay, read this and then tell me "the Impaler" isn't a negative appellation regardless of who was being impaled.
