Triumph of the Culture of Death, Part III - The Encyclical of Death

College Catholic has now posted the last of a 3-part series entitled "Triumph of the Culture of Death III". Here's an excerpt from Part III - The Encyclical of Death:
Schering AG’s Encyclical of Death, while full of lies, is at times remarkably frank. Offering this statement to confused teenagers in response to a question of what role the Pill plays in society…

“It primarily offers them security, yet is also a symbol. Taking the Pill means: I am sexually informed, grown-up, and do not want any children at this time. The Pill is a metaphor for the possibility of uninhibited love and self-determined sexual encounters. It allows for lust – without reproduction.”

I think this speaks for itself. The battery of questions and answers from the Encyclical of Death goes on…

“How do relationships differ nowadays from those in the pre-Pill era?

They are more relaxed, as sex previously involved was often associated with the fear of becoming pregnant. Spontaneity was a problem. Men still delegate the task of contraception to women today. The disadvantage is that there is little communication surrounding this topic. The Pill offers women an obvious power position in family planning. This allows her to effectively influence the relationship, and may even lead her to adopt more responsibility than is good for the couple. This arouses in the man – who is no great expert on relationships anyway – feelings of mistrust.”

Amazingly, Schering AG’s Encyclical of Death goes on to make it obvious that they know exactly what they have done to western society with their distortion of love. They triumphantly proclaim, “For decades now the birth rate has been decreasing in nearly every European country. Lifelong marriages appear to be a thing of the past. New types of families are emerging.”

This reads like a cock-sure spiking of the ball and diving into the stands. One can detect in the company’s pride in its words, and it is appalling, like a smile of rotten and decaying teeth. New types of families? The Culture of Death has given us “families” in which people are more likely to have depression, “marry” persons of the same sex, more than one person, get divorced, commit suicide, do drugs, get an abortion, or just plain gas grandma and grandpa when they are sick of supporting them. I’ll take the “old families” any day.

My Comments:
I hope you will take time to go over to College Catholic and read all 3 installments of this excellent series.
