Rick Santorum Blasted for Taking Part in Justice Sunday III

From Cybercast News Service:
(CNSNews.com) - Sen. Rick Santorum, the Pennsylvania Republican who's running a close race for re-election, will be a featured speaker at Justice Sunday III, an event intended to build grassroots support for Judge Samuel Alito's nomination to the U.S. Supreme Court.

"Justice Sunday III will help ensure that the voices of people of faith are heard in the great national debate on the courts and the future of our country," said the Family Research Council, which is sponsoring the Jan. 8 event.

The FRC describes Santorum as a defender of religious liberties, marriage and the family.

The senator will join FRC President Tony Perkins, Dr. James Dobson, Dr. Jerry Falwell, Bishop Wellington Boone, Rev. Herbert Lusk, and other speakers at a predominantly black Philadelphia church on Sunday.

The program, like two others before it, will be broadcast live in churches across the nation and carried on Christian television stations.

A group that works to elect Democrats to the Senate is criticizing Santorum for taking part in Justice Sunday III.

"On the eve of the Alito hearings, the most extreme of the Republican right wing is gathering in Philadelphia to launch the next phase of their assault on the federal judiciary. And right in the middle of these extremists will be Senator Rick Santorum," the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee said in a press release.

My Comments:
Hey Dems, just keep pressuring him on this. Santorum will eventually betray his "friends" if you make it hot enough for him.

Nice post. Let us hope that Rick does not get this reputation too quickly. He still has to get through 10 more months of representation.
