New York Slimes: Benedict's First Encyclical Shuns Strictures of Orthodoxy

No bias here:

Pope Benedict XVI presented Catholicism's potential for good rather than imposing potentially divisive rules for orthodoxy.
My Comments:
What a crap newspaper!

No kidding. If they can't fit it into their "Pope Cracks Down!" paradigm, it must be a signal that the Pope is going to "ease up" and allow who-knows-what.

I'm reading the encyclical and it's good.

It's also in line with what the Church has been teaching for the last 25 years.

Not that the message hasn't fallen on deaf modern ears.
