Dear Scholar and Martyr, it was not the King of England but you who were the true Defender of the Faith. Like Christ unjustly condemned, neither promises nor threats could make you accept a civil ruler as head of the Christian Church.

There's nothing new here. The outrageous parts are:
1. Michael won.
2. Michael has paid no price, and will continue to profit from winning.
3. Bishop Lynch was complicit in Michael winning.
Is he continuing to rub the world's nose in it? Yes, of course, but not from his own point of view. Like O.J. Simpson, he will live as though he is innocent.
I don't know a solution, other than to assign the problem to a judge who will render true justice.
Which I have faith He will do, and perfectly.
Unbelievable... no question this was a very scandalous proceeding. They should both have been publicly rebuked and refused the sacraments until they separated for a period of time to show their remorse.
Bishop Lynch is truly a wolf in sheep's clothing, and it is truly charitable to pray for the Church in Florida that he be converted to the true Faith or called to his judgment so a true pastor can be installed in his place.
Send in the cannon lawyers, heck send in the Swiss Guard, this is a sham and disgrace! We bloggers need to all do our part and make nose about this and keep going untill a certain German finds out.
Tom, without disputing the rectitude of your comment, I've never heard of any priest anywhere who demands that sort of thing of someone who is trying to regularize an irregular relationship.
