It's All Bush's (and Barbour's) Fault
Hurricane Katrina may not be some plot hatched by Karl Rove to distract attention away from Iraq and the Sheehan protest, as some have [tongue-in-cheek] suggested, but it is all President Bush's and Mississippi Governor Haley Barbour's fault, at least according to some German socialist nobody ever heard of and some American socialist living off his daddy's name.
Rule of thumb: whatever is wrong in the world, it's always "Bush's fault".
UPDATE (9/1/2005):
Hey liberals, give the politics a rest - at least for a few days. This should be a time for coming together in aid of the victims of this disaster. There'll be plenty of time for the blame game and political recriminations later.
I view those on the right or the left who would, at this point in time, seek to use this catastrophe to score partisan political points or to push an agenda as little better than those who are using this catastrophe as an opportunity to "score" a TV gratis from Wal-Mart.

Rich Lowry was faced off against some loudmouth with family ties to New Orleans (not *that* loudmouth) on a talk show yesterday.
The latter breathlessly asserted that "the scientific community knows that global warming is increasing the intensity of these hurricanes." He then critiqued Bush's environmental policies.
Can't these people give it a rest for a day or two? If not for decency's sake, then how about in this case for sake of family members?
Everyone knows it's Clinton's fault, anyway.
So, Local Man, who gets the blame for Camille in '69 - LBJ or Nixon? (I vote LBJ, since Nixon always gets blamed for Vietnam.)

The notion that any one man and/or his policies (or lack thereof) can be responsible for horrific natural disasters is laughable.
The very fact that people on the left can say with a straight face that Bush or Barbour are responsible for creating Category 5 hurricanes just shows how intellectually bankrupt they have become.
