Buckeyes Win Rose Bowl

Ohio State - 26, Oregon - 17. Way to go, Buckeyes. And congrats to Rose Bowl MVP Terrelle Pryor on an outstanding performance.

All in all, a big day for the Big 10! My Ohio State Buckeyes beat Oregon in the Rose Bowl; Joe Pa and the Nittany Lions beat LSU (heh!) in the Capital One Bowl; and Northwestern takes Auburn to overtime, losing by a field goal in a game that Northwestern should have won, having outplayed Auburn.

Now, hopefully, the Cincinnati Bearcats will make it a big night for the state of Ohio and knock off the defending "national champion" Florida Gators.

So, not only is the Cotton Bowl not played early on New Year's Day, but it's played in that hideous Jerryworld place rather than the actual Cotton Bowl on the fairgrounds. What evil has beset college football these days?

Nice game by the Buckeyes. They're going to be loaded next season and should make a run at the "national title."

Yeah, I'm completely disgusted that the Cotton Bowl isn't being played in the ... you know ... COTTON BOWL!

College football had already pretty much destroyed what was one of the greatest traditions in the game by devaluing the Cotton Bowl to a lower tier bowl game. This latest travesty of the game being played in that hideous semi-dome in Arlington has finished the destruction.
