Archbishop Dolan to Fight Anti-Catholic Bias

NEW YORK (AP) — The incoming archbishop of New York says he will challenge any suggestion that Roman Catholics are unenlightened because they oppose gay marriage and abortion.

Archbishop Timothy Dolan also tells The Associated Press that he wants to restore pride in being a Catholic.

Dolan made the comments in an interview Monday in Manhattan.

He is scheduled to be installed as the leader of the Archdiocese of New York in ceremonies on Tuesday and Wednesday at St. Patrick's Cathedral. He succeeds Cardinal Edward Egan, who is retiring...

It is good that he is setting his standards even before he starts his new position. I've heard some great things about this guy.
