Sen. "Leaky" Leahy Accuses Catholic Judicial Nominee of "Anti-Catholicism"

Deal Hudson writes at InsideCatholic:
Yesterday I received a press release from Brian Burch at Fidelis with the news that Sen. Patrick Leahy (D-VT) had accused judical nominee Robert Conrad of anti-Catholicism.

His crime?

Conrad's criticism of Sister Helen Prejean published in "Catholic Dossier"!

I wonder how Bill Donohue at the Catholic League missed that?

This charge from Leahy tells us several things:

1) He has staffers combing through very obscure journals and magazines to find anything to use against conservative jurists.

2) Leahy has decided that the charge of anti-Catholicism can be used against orthodox Catholics who are critical of liberal Catholics who flout the teaching authority of the Church.

3) If you are reading this post, YOU are probably an anti-Catholic is the eyes of Sen. Leahy!

My Comments:
My first reaction to this was "You've GOT to be kidding me!" But, upon further review, I don't find this all that surprising. Frequent readers of this blog probably already know my opinion of Sen. "Leaky" Leahy.

The Senator from Vermont has some nerve calling anyone "anti-Catholic" (see, e.g., the links below).

Leahy (Corpse, Vermont) has absolutely no shame.

Wow. As donald just said, "no shame." We really, really need to educate our ignorant Catholic friends so creeps like Leahy can't get away with this.
