"We're only going to score 17 points?"
"We're only going to score 17 points?"
New York Wide Receiver Plaxico Burress' prediction that
the Giants would beat the Patriots 23-17 in the Super Bowl
(the Giants won 17-14)
No. You're only going to score 14 points.
You only WISH you could've scored 17.

I'm taking it you're pleased with the game's results?
I'm definitely NOT a Giants fan, since they're NFC East rivals with my hometown team (the Cowboys). But it's nice to see the Patriots get what's coming to them.
Well, I'm celebrating. =)
I'm not a Giants fan either, but they were the lesser of two evils, so yeah, I'm happy that the cheating Patrios lost with that scumbag-droped-impregnated-girlfriend QB and classless-left-game-early head coach.
Signed,
Eagles fan.
You only WISH you could've scored 17.
They might have had their supposedly genius coach not eschewed a 48 yard field goal for going for it on 4th and 13.
I'm not sure about the present generation, but the late Wellington Mara was a devout Catholic and huge supporter of the anti-abortion movement.
Well, at least they didn't pull the "we're really the better team" stuff. All the interviews I saw of the Pats had players saying that the Giants just out-played them.
And, as far as leaving the field goes, the officials screwed up the game clock and didn't get control back until the field had already been full of fans and reporters and such. Even Coughlin thought the game was over, and had been out there to shake hands.
I am, however, elated that the New York Football Giants won. I realized I was rooting for them outright in the third quarter. (I really wish another team would have a perfect season just so I don't have to hear Miami bragging about it any more. I hate the Dolphins.)
